1. General Terms of Use
Access to and use of this application (HumArTech) implies full acceptance of the terms and conditions set out in this legal notice. The research group iArtHis_LAB, affiliated with the Department of Art History at the University of Málaga (UMA), reserves the right to modify or update these conditions at any time; periodic review is therefore recommended.
Users undertake to make appropriate use of the application and the content or services it provides, refraining from using them for unlawful activities, activities contrary to good faith or public order, or for the dissemination of offensive, discriminatory or otherwise rights-violating content. These conditions apply to HumArTech and to all applications developed and integrated within its institutional framework.
2. Ownership and Responsibility
HumArTech is a freely accessible application developed by the research group iArtHis_LAB, attached to the Department of Art History at the University of Málaga, with the aim of promoting research in Digital Art History. Its maintenance is managed within the institutional and educational framework of the UMA.

3. Intellectual and Industrial Property
All content, graphic design, source code, interfaces and materials available on HumArTech are protected by Spanish and international intellectual and industrial property regulations. Unless expressly stated otherwise, ownership belongs to the University of Málaga or to members of the iArtHis_LAB group.
Users must respect the rights recognised by law and refrain from any unauthorised use, reproduction, distribution or transformation of the content.
4. Licenses
4.1 Source code
The HumArTech application code is distributed under the MIT license, which permits use, copying, modification and redistribution, provided that this license notice and the corresponding copyright notices are retained.
4.2 Content and data
Content (textual, visual or database) is offered under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license. This means that:
- Original authorship and source must be credited (iArtHis_LAB / University of Málaga).
- Commercial use of the materials is not permitted.
- Derivative works must be distributed under the same license.

5. Disclaimer of Liability
The iArtHis_LAB group and the University of Málaga do not guarantee the absence of errors in access to or content on HumArTech, although they undertake to address them and maintain the service with the greatest possible diligence.
Access to and use of the application is at the exclusive responsibility of the user. Neither the group nor the University shall be liable for direct or indirect damages arising from the inappropriate use of the information or services provided through the platform.
6. External Links
The HumArTech portal may include links to external sites belonging to other academic institutions or associated projects. These links are provided for informational purposes only and do not imply any relationship of dependency or responsibility over the linked external content.
7. Data Protection and Privacy
The processing of personal data will comply with the provisions of the HumArTech Privacy Policy, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and Digital Rights Guarantee.
8. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
This notice is governed by Spanish law. For any dispute arising from access to or use of the HumArTech application, the user expressly submits to the jurisdiction of the Courts and Tribunals of Málaga (Spain).
9. Updates and Validity
The iArtHis_LAB group reserves the right to modify these terms to adapt them to regulatory changes or technological developments of the project. Updates will take effect at the time of their publication on this page.
